What is Dropbox?

Dropbox is free, cross-platform software that stores and syncs all your files. As soon as you add a file to Dropbox, it is automatically available on all your devices. It is also a very simple tool for sharing documents and keeping your files easy to access.

Installation

Go to the Dropbox download page, start the installation, then create an account.

Use

This software appears as a simple folder on your computer, but saves and syncs everything you put inside.

The green icon indicates that the folder is synced, meaning identical everywhere, and the blue icon indicates that syncing is in progress.

The public folder allows anyone to access it through the link.

You can also share your private folders with the person of your choice (right-click > share).

Your important documents always accessible

For example, you can store your administrative documents there and easily find them again, wherever you are.

Note: the free version offers 2 GB of storage. That is enough for administrative documents, but quickly becomes limited for lots of photos or videos.
